Artwork & File Prep FAQs

What file types should I use when uploading my artwork?

PDF files preferred; PNGs are also accepted. Print ready files must have a minimum resolution of 300 DPI with a transparent background. Files printed without a transparent background will have a white box behind the image, or behind the entire gang sheet – often ruining the prints. High resolution files with transparent backgrounds will yield the best transfers with crisp lines and bold colors.

What is a vector graphic?

Vector graphics, such as .AI and .SVG, use mathematical equations to define shapes, lines and colors which allows for infinite scalability without losing quality.

What is a raster graphic?

A raster graphic, such as .JPEG, .PNG, or .TIFF, are composed of a grid of pixels, each with a specific color value. Since raster graphics are comprised of pixels, they can lose quality as they are resized because they retain a set number of pixels regardless of image size.

What is DPI?

DPI is a value that stands for the number of dots (or pixels) per square inch in a raster graphic. The higher the DPI, the more pixels per square inch, resulting in a higher quality image. For example, if an image is 300 DPI, each square inch of the image contains 300 pixels. Images with a higher DPI will retain a better image quality as the image is sized up.

What is CMYK?

CMYK stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Key (Black). This color model is based on the subtractive color theory, where colors are created by subtracting varying percentages of light absorbed by ink or toner. CMYK is the standard color mode for professional printing processes, such as offset printing and digital printing. We recommend designing in CMYK since our DTF gang sheet transfers are printed using CMYK + White.

What is RGB?

RGB stands for Red, Green, and Blue. This color model is based on the additive color theory, where colors are created by combining light at different intensities. RGB is primarily used for digital displays, such as computer monitors, smartphones, and TVs. Each pixel on a screen emits light in varying intensities of red, green, and blue, combining to produce a wide spectrum of colors.

Shipping & Delivery FAQs

What is the typical turnaround time for my DTF Transfer orders?

A reliable turnaround is part of our promise. Multicraft’s standard turnaround is 1-3 days. Most print orders placed before 11:00 AM EST Monday through Friday, are ready within 24 hours; barring any printer malfunctions or quality control discoveries. Orders placed after the cutoff are generally shipped the following business day.

Every transfer is printed, quality checked, and carefully packaged in-house; to ensure consistently reliable, high-quality DTF prints.

Do you offer Same Day Shipping or Rush Shipping?

Our standard print service is already fast – orders placed by 11 AM EST, usually ship the same business day, no rush fee required! For time-sensitive projects like events, product launches, or strict client deadlines, we do everything we can to accommodate urgent requests.

There are a limited number of rush orders accepted daily, if print capacity allows. Paying the $25 Rush Fee guarantees same day processing on most print requests. Call us for information or to request a rush order at (216) 432-5656.

How are my transfers shipped?

Transfers are rolled up, placed inside heavy-duty tubes that prevent wrinkling or creasing, and then packaged in triangular boxes and shipped out.

How much is shipping and where does my order ship from?

All print orders ship from our Cleveland, Ohio office via UPS Ground, at a flat rate of $15.
